This skill governs the ability to pore through large amounts of information and pull out the salient points. It also has potential martial and skill applications – the ability to research old fighting tomes or instructional guides can be invaluable for discovering useful tidbits of information, potentially discovering new areas for skill specializations or combat techniques. The research skill is usually rolled with the Wit or MA attributes.

Defaults: The research skill can default from some relevant Craft/Trade or Knowledge skills at +2 or +3, and from the Stewardship skill at +4.
